Christmas 2020 – Adventures in Vlog Segments ✨

Hello! From my couch! I’m covered in a patchwork blankie on the coldest day. Temperatures have plummeted here in Granada over the last ten days or so and, boy…can you feel it. Bone-snappin’ stuff. It’s not so bad right now, since it’s just past noon. The sun is shining bright and there’s not a cloud in the sky…so those little patches of light make up for it. But don’t be fooled. It’s as sharp as a tack out there.

Although it’s bearable now, going back to when I got up at 7.30 this morning, my teeth were chattering like I was mountain biking at full speed down the Sierra Nevada, in nothing but a bikini, if you get the picture. Or, perhaps not. Things got weird there. Promptly delete that visualisation from your brain.

Anyway, -5C in the morning is not my jam. I get up, put the heating on, make hot water with lemon, drink coffee (clawing the cup until my knuckles go white), meditate, journal, read, and slowly thaw out. I guess it’s not so bad that these early mornings allow me time to myself to do the things I love. I survived another Granada winter morning. I’m getting that printed on a t-shirt.

Despite my weather dramatics, I’m here to share part one of my Christmas 2020 vlog series. Not my usual Christmas vlogs since I wasn’t at home in Ireland (sob) but it was nice to film things from a different perspective. And, boy, did I film. A lot. Oops. This collection will be the longest yet, but I’m glad I made memories of the strangest Christmas of my life (so far, eh?) the good and bad.

I hope you enjoy it! Part two is coming really soon. As I certainly can’t afford to do my usual Emma-isms where I finish Christmas coverage by May 2021.

New year, new me….!

Emma
